Bring zing to your burgers with this recipe from Mary Ann.
Ingredients
1 lb. ground chicken (ground turkey would also work) 1 tsp. ARIZONA DREAMING 1/2 onion, chopped fine 1/2-1 jalapeño pepper (seeds and membrane removed), chopped fine 1 TB. chopped fresh cilantro 1/4 tsp. salt 1/8 tsp. PENZEYS PEPPER 1 ripe (but still firm) avocado, diced
Directions
In a large bowl, combine the meat, ARIZONA DREAMING, onion, jalapeño, cilantro, salt and PEPPER. Mix well. Gently fold in the avocado, being careful to leave it in nice chunks. Form into patties. Oil a grill pan. Heat over medium heat. Cook the burgers for about 8 minutes per side. Be careful not to overcook; since there is very little fat in these burgers, they will become dry. Also, they can be hard to flip; work the spatula under the burgers very gently.
